World Environment Day Celebrations at MIPL

Manjushree Innovations Pvt Ltd topped off its week-long World Environment Day celebrations with each team member planting a sapling. The saplings were planted inside waste plastic bottles and have been placed across the perimeter of the campus, along with the team members' names.

The emphasis of our activities was around the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) as we conducted various word games centering around awareness on the same through the week.

We also asked them for green ideas to bring about a positive change to the environment. Idea and design from Ratnadeep for putting time sensors for auto switch on/off of certain lights in our factory to prevent their misuse, and idea by Mintu about putting a garden across our drain, and using the excess water to irrigate it walked away with prizes and the honour for best ideas.

We gave away goodie hampers (containing chips, cakes, detergent, atta, salt, tea, etc) to the various winners. To give them a sense of how their daily work touches lives, the hamper had goodies which had one thing in common - all of the items were packaged in packets made by Manjushree.

The creative folks at Manjushree also took it upon themselves to spread a message about the need of 3Rs, in their unique way. They made a wall art depicting how waste, if not controlled had the potential to bring harm to our planet. But proper management through the 3Rs can save it, something which Manjushree has been endorsing. Another wall art depicts a tree.

Ohh, and did we mention that these wall arts were made from only our plastic waste!
