Manjushree visits school to teach plastic waste art

4th June 2018

When we're not making use of Science to solve our problems, we make use of Art.

To manage our own industrial waste, we came with the idea of taking one of the three 'R's of waste management and turn it into an 'ART'. This idea was conceived by our Director, Usha Mour and after developing many household artefacts with plastic waste, we decided to share the idea with the world.

A team of our directors Usha Mour, Roshni Agarwal and Monu Agarwal visited LP School in Datalpara on 4th June, the eve of Environment's Day to inculcate in the young minds, and their teachers and parents the need for waste management. They were taught the various fascinating things they can make with plastic waste. The wonderful audience was given a plastic flower each as a parting gift, much to their happiness.

Because of its many applications and desirable properties, the usage of plastics has naturally been increasing in our day to day lives. Proper plastic waste management thus becomes more and more relevant. We believe every big revolution has a small beginning. By starting with managing our own industrial waste in this manner, we've taken a small step towards better plastic waste management. The smiles we create in the process is an added bonus.
