Manjushree organizes a Talent Show for its Team

Manjushree organized a talent show for its Team members on the 8th of September 2018 at Manjushree Innovations Pvt Ltd. The event named Manjushree’s Got Talent aimed to bring to the fore the talents of everyone.

There were a total of 24 solo and group performances by 42 participants from various sites. The performances were from varied fields like singing, dancing, guitar, violin, tabla, poetry, drama, stand-up and magic tricks. The youngest participant, Hridhaan Agarwal is 8 years old, while the oldest was, Shri Shiv Prasad Gupta is 69 years of age.

Prominent personalities from Guwahati were called to adjudicate the show. One of the judges was Mrs. Bela Bawri Nawka, who is a social worker and member and patron of various organizations like Lioness Club of Guwahati Greater, Marwari Yuva Manch Kamakhya Shakha, FLO Northeast Chapter, Marwari Hospitals and Research Centre. Mr. Vivek Jain, a leading Chartered Accountant in Guwahati with almost two decades of professional experience, who also takes interest and excels in music and sports also honoured us by being a judge. Mrs. Preeti Saraf, an entrepreneur and fashionista who runs a leading boutique, and has herself organized many such talent shows, also graced the event by being a judge.

In the words of the judges, the competition was so close and everyone was a winner but the top honours in the Group category was bagged by a drama depicting the perils of tobacco and alcohol in causing cancer and how a strong will power can help us defeat it. The second prize went to a team who tweaked the lyrics of a popular Bollywood song and sang and danced on it. The theme of their song was how motivation can drive employees to do wondrous things in their work.

In the solo category, Dipak Das took home the top prize as he dressed up as an Assamese woman and performed the Bihu Das. Prabin Swargarary won the second prize for his breath-taking dance moves as he performed the break dance. The participants were separated by only a whisker that the organizers also decided to honour Siva Prasad Deka, who paid a tribute to his hero Zubin Garg by performing on the guitar and singing, and Sanchita Acharjee who dazzled us with her fusion dance on various numbers.

As one of the judges had concluded with awe that Manjushree's Really Got Talent!!
