Manjushree carries out Flood Relief work in a village near Hajo

25th July 2019

"He who saves one person saves the world entire.”

It is with mixed feelings, we report, that we had collected relief material for the flood affected from various sites of Manjushree Group. It was distributed in a village within Kalitakuchi near Hajo on Thursday, July 25, 2019. The activity was carried out with the help of MIPL’s labour contractor, M/s SB Enterprise and an officer of Hajo Revenue Circle.

A small team had travelled 31 kms from MIPL, the last 200m through knee-high water logging where the devastation caused by the floods was clearly visible. They distributed 200 baskets each containing rice, potato, beaten rice, puffed rice, biscuit, candles and matchsticks, packaged drinking water, bread and soap to each of the inhabitants of the village. They also distributed the clothes you had donated.

We had managed to collect over 400 articles of clothing. The monetary contributions by the Team Members kept on pouring in, and we had to repeatedly increase the contents of the basket. We would like to thank all who contributed, and to those who supported and worked for this cause. Thank you, Manjushree.

Today, we can all be proud of ourselves. Today we can celebrate ‘the spirit of Manjushree’.
